Deliverables:
- Detailed fabrication drawing packs for all pipe spools and supply of general arrangement and installation drawings for 6 valve locations.
- Calculation of thrust restraint required at valves to resist hydrostatic pressure.
- Specification of all concrete footings / foundations required for the installation.
- Design certificate signed by Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
Description: Ferrier Engineering was engaged by Metal Maintenance to provide design and drafting services required to execute the installation of 6 plant isolation valves in a water treatment plant (WTP) near Nambour. Design works included drafting and design review of pipe spools, preliminary design of a stopboard to isolate a concrete channel and drafting and design of a jib crane to install and remove the stopboard.
The design was completed in accordance with AS4041 and AS4100.
